SM City Iloilo was built in 1999 along Diversion Road in Mandurriao. It has then paved the way for more developments in the area during that time. This is Iloilo’s first supermall after the historic SM Delgado which is the first SM store built outside of Manila in 1979.
Now SM City Iloilo is expanding with a three-story wing on the right side of the mall aside from the on-going Southpoint development where more restaurants will be located. In this expansion, we’re looking forward to more dining establishments as well as more shops.
Here are the floorplans:
On the lower ground floor, there are already assigned slots for interior, wellness, dining and affiliate. Meanwhile on the upper ground floor, it’s a combination of mostly Global Fashion and Dining. Can this be like a version of SM Megamall’s Fashion Hall which has brands like Zara, Uniqlo, Forever21, H&M and etc! Should we also look forward to some restaurants like Vikings and the pastry shop Breadtalk?
And surprisingly, on the 2nd floor we have more spaces allotted for dining and mostly global shopping. Well, some global brands in SM Megamall such as Uniqlo, H&M and Forever21 have occupied three floors! For H&M example, Children’s and Teens wear on the lower ground floor, the upper ground floor is solely for Women’s Fashion while the Second floor has the Men’s Fashion. Oh, truly SM has got it all for you!
When I visited the new wing of SM City Bacolod when it opened, the new attraction there was the Cyberzone where brands for gadgets and other techy stuff can be found. For amusement, maybe they have more upscale stores for Television and other entertainment stuff.

Truly we are all excited for this new development in SM City Iloilo to open. More updates soon!
Cheers to the Management of SM City Iloilo especially to their Marketing Team!
