“If I live to see the seven wonders,
I’ll make a path to the rainbow’s end.
I’ll never live to match the beauty again.”
– Fleetwood Mac
At the end of the rainbow lies a treasure as they say.
This mansion built with elaborate art deco style in 1928 is an American-colonial heritage landmark in the city of Iloilo.
Owned by the Lopez clan, the structure of the facade was pattered from Tara, the house in the novel “Gone With the Wind” by Margaret Mitchell. This 84 year-old mansion is more than just a treasure to the city, just like the other heritage houses that still stand nowadays, this grandiose abode also has stories to tell. It’s just more fortunate to have been preserved in its present state.
