More than a year after Typhoon Yolanda, Globe Platinum completes 7 Noah’s Ark in Aklan

I was invited along with the members of Iloilo Bloggers and local media to participate in the Turnover Ceremonies of Globe Platinum Noah’s Ark Project in New Washington, Aklan last May 28, 2015. The Project has been supported by the Provincial Government of Aklan, Department of Education and Habitat for Humanity.
Last December, the Groundbreaking Ceremony was held in Balete town. Since then, 6 other Noah’s Ark classrooms that can also be used as evacuation centers in times of calamities were built in 6 other towns that were also badly-hit typhoon- Libacao, Madalag, Banga, Batan, Altavas, and New Washington.

After the blessing, ribbon-cutting ceremony, turn-over of markers and other parts of the program, we headed back to the main school building for lunch. We then got our Globe “Bridging Communities” shirt for the mural painting.
