March 2, 2013– At around 8 in the evening, I passed by at the on-going renovation of the Javellana building at Iloilo City’s Calle Real or the old business center. This is currently the 6th restoration spearheaded by the Iloilo City Cultural Heritage Conservation Council – ICCHCC.
When completed maybe in a few months this will add attraction to Calle Real de Iloilo most especially at night. I just hope they keep the streets well-lit in order to help keep the area more secured and friendly for tourists. Located at corner J.M. Basa and Guanco streets, this heritage structure in the heart of Iloilo’s City proper can be reached in by walking from the nearby hotels in the area or by riding Jaro CPU, La Paz, other jeepneys or taxi cab.
