Recently, Globe sponsored our trip to the towns of Kalibo, Balete and in New Washington, Aklan to personally see their company’s on-going projects that includes classrooms (See Globe’s 1 Phone Project) and houses for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan last year. After an overnight stay at Marzon’s Hotel, we graced the groundbreaking ceremony of the Noah’s Ark Project at Balete Elementary School. This one of a kind classroom is designed with a kitchen area and more comfort rooms to cater families when being used as a shelter whenever typhoons come. Aside from 1 Noah’s Ark Classroom that will be built each in the 7 most hard-hit municipalities of Aklan, more than 50 regular classrooms are also to be completed.
